Abstract:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly transforming rural economies and agricultural systems by reshaping production methods, labor structures, and sustainability practices. The growing integration of AI technologies such as machine learning, automation, and digital analytics has brought significant changes to rural employment and farm sustainability. These technologies enhance efficiency, optimize inputs, and improve decision-making but also raise concerns regarding job displacement, income inequality, and access disparities. The socioeconomic impacts of AI on rural communities extend beyond productivity, influencing skills development, gender inclusion, and social equity. The analysis of these dynamics reveals that AI adoption in agriculture presents both opportunities for inclusive growth and challenges requiring policy attention. A balanced approach combining technological innovation with human capital development, ethical governance, and infrastructural support is essential to ensure that AI contributes to long-term rural sustainability and equitable economic transformation.
